A unique experience, towards new projects

Arexpo is a private company held by a majority of public-sector shareholders, founded in 2011 to acquire the areas destined to host Expo Milano 2015.

Since the ending of the event we have worked to enhance the site, by opening to the community on several occasions, and defining a new development for the entire site, a space of more than one million square metres.

Our work has led to the creation of MIND Milano Innovation District, an innovation hub and a new neighbourhood for the city: a project with strong international ambitions, strategic for the entire country, built together with the ideas of Lendlease, the private partner in this operation.

Arexpo now continues to accompany MIND’s advancement, guaranteeing the certitude of administrative procedures and taking care of community activation.

Today, our commitment opens up to future initiatives throughout Lombardy, where we can use our expertise as mediators between institutions and private operators.

The activation task

An inclusive society — always networked

We build places for people, with people.

In its activities Arexpo chooses to involve and collaborate with universities, local organisations, businesses and schools.

The expression of a whole system

Our shareholders are the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Regione Lombardia, the Municipality of Milan and the Fiera Milano Foundation, as well as the Metropolitan City of Milan and the Municipality of Rho with smaller shares.

Our corporate structure is a symbol of cooperation between the forces across the country allowing us to enjoy a direct relationship with the different levels of government (both local and national).
